Ms. Wasfia Mohamed Shekho
Former Member of the Iraqi Parliament (MP)
Ms. Shekho is a former Member of the Iraqi Parliament (Fourth Session, 2018 -2021), Rapporteur of
the Committee of Women, Family and Children, member of the Committee for Peaceful
Coexistence, member of the Kurdistan Parliamentary Union and member of the Iraqi Parliamentary
Union.
Ms. Shekho worked as a teacher and researcher for several years. She authored a book and wrote
many articles about the history of Zakho.
Ms. Shekho has a Bachelor degree of History (Dohuk University), Master degree in Modern History
(2012, Zakho University), Ph.D. student in modern history (Sfax University – Tunisia)
