Mr. Sumaida’ie is an Iraqi politician, Electrical Engineer, activist, writer and a published poet in Classical Arabic form.  He served as Iraq’s Ambassador to the United States ( 2006), Iraq’s Permanent Representative[4] to the United Nations (2004), Minister of Interior of Iraq (2004), member of the Iraq Governing Council (2003-2004), designer and a consultant in London and Beijing (1991-2003), Managing Director and major shareholder in Turath Ltd specialized in design of decorative architectural special finishes in Islamic style (1982-1990). 

Appeared in many TV and radio shows, attended countless meetings and discussions and wrote extensively about Iraq’s politics.

Mr. Sumaida’ie holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Durham University, UK.
